[Satellite Today 10-02-08] SES Astra signed a framework contract through its affiliate Astra Broadband Services with TeleCable, a Spanish cable operator, to market satellite-based two-way broadband service, SES Astra announced Oct. 1.
The commercial roll-out of Astra2Connect will begin in the first half of October in Asturias. TeleCable will extend the distribution of the service throughout the rest of Spain in the near future, SES Astra said.
SES Astra and TeleCable also reached an agreement with the installer association Fenitel, whose members represent the majority of the installation companies of Asturias. The 70 installation companies that form Fenitel will manage the installation and maintenance of Astra2Connect terminals for end users.
