Talia Quick To Gain BADR-6 Capacity

[Satellite Today 07-14-08]  Arabsat has announced a new long-term contract with a top Middle East and African ISP for capacity on the BADR-6 satellite, Arabsat said July 14.
Talia signed a long-term term deal to lease capacity on BADR-6 satellite to help boost its services to these two regions. Focused over the Middle East and Africa, the BADR-6 C-band coverage will be used to provide shared and dedicated connectivity to enterprise, corporate, non-governmental organizations and channel customers throughout the Middle East and African markets for both Internet and closed-network solutions.
“Expanding African services is key to our long-term growth,” Travis Mooney, Talia's COO, said in a statement. “Capacity on BADR-6, combined with our experience running iDirect services throughout the Middle East and North Africa, allows us a great opportunity to enter the sub-Saharan African market.”
