DataPath Receives Military Satcom Order
September 22, 2008

[Satellite Today 09-22-08] DataPath Inc. has received a $1.6 million order from the U.S. Military to provide technical personnel to support forward-deployed battlefield satcom systems deployed in remote locations in Afghanistan, DataPath announced Sept. 22.
    DataPath field service representatives will work at forward locations with U.S. military joint forces to ensure optimal performance of more than 20 of its flyaway satcom systems.     Funding will come from exercised options on an existing delivery order through the Worldwide Satellite Systems contract. 
"We've seen strong demand for technical services for satcom systems deployed in theater as the backbone of the military's tactical communications network," Steve Lindeman, vice president of business operations at DataPath, said in a statement.
