Globecomm Systems Nets Contract For Next-Generation Media Processing Center

Globecomm Systems Inc. has been awarded a $16.1 million contract to install a next-generation media processing center for an unnamed telecommunications services provider in Asia, Globecomm announced.

Under a previously announced $3.5 million contract from the same customer, Globecomm will install two 11-meter antennas, multiple receive-only antennas, monitoring and control software, and all related subsystems.

An expansion option could raise the project value to $26.3 million, Globecomm said.
