SlingPath Unveils Satellite Newsgathering Training Course

SlingPath has launched a satellite newsgathering (SNG) online training program, the company announced. The course is intended to provide a basic level of competence in operating satellite uplinking equipment in order to reduce potential interference issues.

Basic SNG Operations runs an estimated seven hours, and self-check tests at the end of each of seven modules lead to a multiple-choice exam required to earn certification. Cost is $595.

SlingPath also is offering a three-day, follow-on course that provides hands-on examination at one of eight training centers that will be established around the globe by the end of the year, the company said.
