ND Satcom Aids G8 Summit

Satellite technology and services are underpinning the Group of 8 (G8) political summit meeting in Germany. ND Satcom is working with the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) during the summit where a number of wealthy nations are meeting to discuss global issues.

THW staff members will be providing technical assistance to the summit's infrastructure, using the network for telephony and data exchange via satellite.

A satellite-based communication network using SkyRAY Light, ND SatCom’s new antenna system is establishing the link to THW headquarters in Bonn via a mobile station in Heiligendamm.
