Cingular Wireless LLC and XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. announced a partnership Nov. 2 to stream 25 XM music channels to Cingular handsets. Beginning Nov. 6, Cingular Wireless customers may choose among 25 audio streams of commercial-free music channels through the XM Radio Mobile service. Cingular Wireless, the largest U.S. wireless carrier with more than 58 million customers, will offer the service for $8.99 per month. XM will deliver data to make it possible to view the song title, artist and album while listening on a variety of compatible handsets. The XM Radio Mobile application was developed by MobiTV, a global provider of TV and digital radio services for cellular, Wi-Fi and broadband-enabled devices.
