Axesat To Deploy Gilat SkyEdge System In Colombia JJ McCoy July 26, 2007 Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. will supply a SkyEdge broadband satellite network to Axesat, a satellite service provider in Latin America, Gilat announced July 25. Axesat will deploy SkyEdge Pro and SkyEdge IP VSATs to provide Colombian enterprises with private networking services, including interactive data, broadband Internet access, and Voice Over Internet Protocol services. The contract increases the number of Gilat VSATs used by Axesat to more than 2,500 nationwide, Gilat said.
