[Satellite Today – 5-8-08] Globecomm Systems Inc. posted an 11 percent increase in revenues for the third quarter of fiscal year 2008, including a 117 percent increase in revenues from services, the company announced May 7.
Globecomm reported revenues of $43.3 million, compared to $39.1 million in the same period in 2007. Revenues from services increased to $15.8 million, compared to $7.3 million a year ago Net income increased to $3.4 million, compared to $2.3 million.
“The company is well-positioned to capitalize on favorable trends in the broadcast, government and wireless marketplaces and has strengthened its sales and marketing organization to further address these markets,” David Hershberg, Globecomm chairman and CEO, said in a statement.”
